Social Cognition Research

Much of my research investigates which factors people consider when making different types of costly social decisions. Projects in this area include emotional reactions to reciprocal altruism situations, decisions to donate organs, and decisions to help in field and survey settings.

My work in mating strategy is mostly within the realm of assessing the accuracy of sex ratio perception in different environments. Look for upcoming work on sex ratio perception of different college majors and individuals of different sexual orientations.
